Hi, my name is Michelle and I am a well respected CSI fan, as well as a proud member of the official butterfly squad.

Yes that's right, the Official Butterfly Squad - this consists of a team of avid CSI fans who tour the episodes looking for screencaps of Butterflies, and BiDs (Butterflies in Disguise).

We even sell T-shirts along with other items to coincide with our proud claim, we too believe that these butterflies may well have been slotted into these scenes deliberately. This is in conjunction with the vast amount of butterflies in Grissom's office and at his home, and very much in conjunction with the Season 4 Episode 12 episode, Butterflied (The clue is in the name). Seeing how the victim looked almost identical to Sara, and when Grissom was in the victim's house, he kept interpreting the victim to be Sara in his own mind - confused about his own feelings for Sara, which he reveals at the end of the episode - you can believe what you like about The Butterflied Speech, but it was Sara's face which was revealed at the end of the episode, it was Sara who Grissom was avoiding the entire episode, and it was Sara who soon after began a relationship with Grissom as revealed in Way to Go.

Now I have no problem with Grillows shippers at all, each to their own I say, but I personally do have a problem with The Butterfly Squad's idea being completely ripped off. This website has not only stolen the concept of butterflies from us, but indeed it appears either stolen screencaps, or ideas for screencaps from us, and then claimed that the entire concept was your own theory and that you believe the butterflies to be a symbol of the Grillows ship - with no common ground to back it up with.

We, as a unity, and a hard-working, dedicated squad of fans, feel completely ripped off by this website, as it appears that you have completely stolen the Butterfly Squad concept!

Being a member of your precious Butterfly Squad, and treated badly for having an opinion that doesn't exactly agree with all of yours, I am going to have to finally say what I think of things like this.

It's one thing to create an idea and use it for your entertainment, and something entirely different to come to others sites and be immature and just mean spirited, because they don't fully agree with what your ideals are. I've seen this happen way too often and it's mostly done by GSR shippers, which makes it even more sad.

This show is suppose to be entertainment for the masses, not just your ship, but to hear your side of the story, your's is the only opinion that counts. I have to disagree, we are all allowed to perceive things as we like whether your ship is canon or not.

It's a shame after sevens seasons that this sort of childish behavior continues. Please keep your sites and opinions in your own play pens, the rest of us would just like to enjoy what we enjoy without your input.

You say you have no problem with the Grillows ship then what are you doing causing a hassel on this forum. Everyone has a right to ship who they want and believe what they want without someone from another ship trying to push their way of thinking on others.

As to the Butterflies:
You know I explained all this more then a year ago on ytdaw and even had a talk with the person who runs The butterfly squad.

As I stated then and will repeat: As for stealing an idea and philosophy I don’t think so. I had a website with the Butterflies from CSI long before they ever came up with it. I had a personal website with earthlink when I had it and I had placed my CSI Butterfly pictures on it I did that many months before the butterfly squad came into being, it was around the end of spring early summer of 2004. Since then I have kept looking for better sites and inproving them as a matter of fact I now have 3 of them.

So either it was a coincident that they came up with something along the same idea or someone there stole my idea and changed it to suit them.

The screencaps are my own or sent to me I take nothing from that website.
As for believing them to be a symbol for Grissoms and having nothing to back it up there you are very wrong.
Consider the evidence.
They've been showing up from the very first episode and the first one ever spotted was worn by Catherine's daughter Lindsey.

Since then they have been showing up on many different objects from pictures, jewelry to a light in the sky. You see them in Grissom's office, and his home they've even been spotted in Catherine's office, her home and Catherine's been seen wearing them, a pair of earrings, a bracelet, even a dragonfly barrett and necklace.

Now as I've stated on my new site:

Is it a symbol for Gil/Catherine many think this is a possibility, are they intensionaly put in scenes maybe.

Or could they just be a symbol for Gil & Catherine not so much as the pairing but as individuals.

Now be a good girl and stay in your own playground.
