Catherine was born in Las Vegas to a single mother, a hard-working thingytail waitress at the big casinos. Her mother, looking for a better place to raise her two daughters, moved around the West Coast for much of their teenage years. A whip smart young woman
with a wild streak, Catherine decided to move out and make her own way after graduating high school. She landed in Seattle, attracted by its vibrant music scene. It was there she met a young rock musician named Eddie Willows. The two soon moved back to Las Vegas, where Eddie had big dreams of becoming a band manager and concert promoter.
Now reunited with her mother and her sister Nancy, Catherine felt at home in Vegas. A family friend and Casino mogul named Sam Braun found Catherine a job as a waitress at the Paradise Garden Gentlemen's Club. After working there a few months, she asked the club's manager, Ted, if she could have a tryout as one of their exotic dancers. For the next few years, she enjoyed a lucrative career as a dancer, often able to pull in a grand a night. She soon found herself supporting Eddie, who was struggling to make it in the local music industry.
Already a graduate from the proverbial school of hard knocks, Catherine found she was eager to earn a college degree and began taking night classes at Western Las Vegas University. She first turned on to a career in forensic science by the off-hours cops and criminalists who would patronize the club.
They would regale her with tales of the cases they were working on, and she was fascinated by the complex puzzles they would solve. LVPD Detective Jimmy Tadero took a shine to Catherine's moxie and enthusiasm. He encouraged her to pursue Criminal Science in her studies, and became her mentor all the way through to
graduation. Tadero recommended Catherine to a young CSI named Gil Grissom, who offered her an entry-level job as an assistant lab technician.
Under the tutelage of Tadero and Grissom, Catherine quickly moved up the ranks in the lab and soon found herself wanting to get out into the field as an Investigator. She had already been promoted to a CSI Level 2 by the time she became pregnant. Feeling secure in her job and relationship, she and Eddie married and bought a small house in suburban Vegas.
Being the breadwinner of the family, Catherine needed to return to work soon after the birth of her daughter Lindsey, and was ultimately promoted to CSI Level 3 in 1995. Catherine always gave her best as a wife and mother, in addition to trying to keep up with advancements in the field of forensics. Unfortunately,
as her career thrived, her personal life was deteriorating. Despite an attempt at couple's therapy, Eddie's infidelities prompted Catherine to file for divorce eight years after the birth of their daughter.
In the years that followed, Catherine has had her share of
struggles as a single, working mother. She then went from a divorcee to a widow, when Eddie was murdered in 2003. The unsolved case of her ex-husband's death, in addition to the shocking revelation that Sam Braun is in fact her
biological father, caused an understandable amount of
distraction and has led to several professional mishaps
since the tragedy. Always the fighter, Catherine has labored to get her life back in order for her daughter and for her career.
The combination of passion and business savvy she possesses has not gone unnoticed by her superiors, who believe Catherine has excellent leadership potential. She is recognized as a confident person who took the path less traveled to her career and always insists on advancing by her own merit. Catherine's is a life fully,
if sometimes painfully, lived.

A friend posted this for me normaly I don't go by this book it's too GSR biased but it does have a few things that are close to being on target.
