Billy and Marg at it again, The kiss was wicked
Romance Secrets from 'CSI'
ET's Thea Andrews goes behind the scenes when "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" heads to Las Vegas.
In its seventh season, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" is as strong as ever. There are even those who think the procedural drama is better than ever!
"It has been a great year and a very interesting year," WILLIAM PETERSEN, who plays Grissom, the head of the CSI crime lab, tells ET's THEA ANDREWS, who flew to Las Vegas for the filming of the May sweeps episodes of the hit series. "The whole miniature killer [story] we have been doing off and on throughout the year has been really fascinating for us and, I think, for the audience, too."
The miniature killer storyline will continue through the next few episodes, leading up to a big finish on the season finale, but on tonight's episode, airing at 9 p.m. on CBS, the CSI team investigates the murder of a black jack dealer, whose estranged husband (ENRICO COLANTONI) has ties to a club of UFO believers.
"Honestly, when I read that script, I thought the producers had really started smoking crack big time, because it was so out there and surreal, and there is shape-shifting stuff," MARG HELGENBERGER, who plays CSI Catherine Willows, tells Thea. "Then I find out that it is based on a real case, and that people that appear to be completely together and intelligent have these beliefs."
ALLY SHEEDY and JULIE HAGERTY guest star on tonight's "Leapin' Lizards" episode as two members of the UFO Club who believe in aliens. In fact, their characters think that shape-shifting reptile-like aliens have mated with humans for centuries as a means of conquering the human race.
"I hear it is really fun," Marg says about tonight's show. "These next four episodes will keep the fans happy, because they are all unique and lead to the big finale."
Another ongoing storyline this season has been the secret romance between Grissom and Sara Sidle (JORJA FOX). Because of that, Thea, who watched as Billy Petersen interrupted her interview with Marg to plant a big kiss on his co-star's mouth, had to ask where he sees his on-screen romance going.
"Grissom and Sara have had a relationship for a while," he points out. "We don't know for how long and in what way, but they have, obviously, had a relationship for a long time. It is interesting for me to be able to play the character and have this be a part of it. It has been fun for me to work with Jorja in that way and with the writers, too. What should we show? How secret can they be and get away with it? My character doesn't want [their relationship] revealed to anyone ever, so I am not going to cheat and tell."
